On February 8, 2025, the 11th day of the Chinese Asian Lunar New Year calendar, the Chicago Chinese New Year Lantern Festival, Temple Fair and Garden Party was held at McKinley Park in Chicago
Organized by the Chicago Chinese Culture Arts Society (CCCAS), MAHA, and the Chicago Park District, with more than 50 associations and institutions, gathered in the park’s auditorium’s.
The website of www.chineseofchicago.com highlighted some photos of the activities that happened at this year’s Chicago Chinese New Year Lantern Festival, Temple Fair, and Garden Party.

The 2025 3rd Chicago Chinese Spring Festival Temple Fair held a grand ceremony on February 8th with thousands of guests
- Nearly a thousand people, from all walks of life, including community representatives, government agencies, banks, art groups, and residents of various ethnic groups in the surrounding areas, along with other Chicago residents, attended this celebratory event.
- The many guests gathered together and immersed themselves in the festive holiday atmosphere and indulged in the charm of Chinese culture by making dumplings, glutinous rice balls, rice cakes, folding lanterns, cutting window flowers, painting fans, writing large Chinese characters, origami, paper cutting, kicking shuttlecocks, folk songs and dances, Tai Chi fan performances, and other colorful activities. All participants felt the joy of these holiday season traditions.
