Our dance team, CCCAS, was very well received at DePaul University’s Chinese Lunar New Year Spring Festival Gala on January 29th. I thought the dance team did an outstanding job.
On January 21st, the Chicago Chinese Culture and Arts Society (CCCAS) performed a Chinese folk dance on a WGN TV show. While the dancers performed, Dr. Hong Liu, Executive Director of the Midwest Asian Health Association (MAHA), discussed the holiday traditions of the Chinese Lunar New Year.

The first major 2025 New Year celebration of the Chinese community in the Chicagoland area was held at the Drury Lane Theater, Oakbrook Terrace, IL on January 4th.
This gala event was hosted by:
US Asian American Leadership Council (AALC)
American Chinese Charity Organization (ACCO)
Coalition for a Better Chinese American Community (CBCAC)
Midwest Asian Health Association (MAHA).
The Chicago Chinese Culture & Arts Society (CCCAS) President, Ye Liu, served as Co-chair, General Event Manager and Program Coordinator for this event.
In addition, members of the Chicago Chinese Culture and Arts Society (CCCAS) were invited to participate in singing and dancing performances, as well as volunteer services.
A highlight of the awards presentation was Ye Liu
receiving the “Outstanding Social Service Leadership Award,” for contributions and services in the community.
